Soundtracks

The most popular add-ons to our software are the collections of soundtracks called Thought Sounds.

Thought Sounds compositions are designed from the ground up to be used with brainwave entrainment. They use minimal percussion, have few or no breaks in the music, and are engineered within a frequency range ideal for embedding brainwave stimulation using our software

Thought Sounds are also royalty-free. So, if you are a business owner, Thought Sounds is perfect for constructing a large range of professional CDs. All the tracks are different enough that you can add variety to your experience and keep yourself or your clients from becoming too habituated to the stimulation.

Headphones

ANY headphones can be used with our products. If you have a pair of comfortable headphones already, there is no need to purchase additional headphones.

We found that a persistent problem with most headphones is that after a while they start to hurt their ears or head, and the agitation of this will ruin the experience of using our software. Make sure that the headphones you use are extremely comfortable and lightweight, so that they can be used for long periods of time. Since the sessions in our products can last from 20 minutes to an hour, this is a very important feature.

A note about earbuds:

Earbuds are not the same as headphones. Some cheaper earbuds unfortunately tend to lack the bass response necessary for this technology. Also, some do not respond well to the AudioStrobe encoding used in most sessions. Most modern earbuds we tested work fine. However, if you are experiencing problems, try either disabling AudioStrobe or using regular headphones.

Light Frames & AudioStrobe Units

Our software fully supports the use of LED glasses (i.e. light frames) to enhance the experience. However, their use is not required. Most of our customers use audio stimulation alone and are more than able to accomplish their goals.

Light frames add a lot to the brainwave entrainment experience. The visual cortex is comparatively much larger than the auditory, and photic stimulation has many advantages. Most users report a significant increase in effectiveness after using glasses.

Epilepsy Warning

Light frames use flashing light, so anyone who is prone to seizures should not use these units.

Necessary Equipment

The main piece of equipment you need is an AudioStrobe decoder. Briefly, AudioStrobe is the signal that is used to communicate with the glasses to tell them how to stimulate your brain. Without an AudioStrobe decoder, there is no way for our software to tell the glasses when to flash.

There are many suitable AudioStrobe decoders on the market, such as the Light & Sound Synergizer, MindSpa, Procyon, Proteus and more. Pick the one that best suits your price range and visit our forum for user experiences.

Biofeedback Units

Biofeedback is the act of using physiological signals from the body to help train yourself to enter a certain state, such as relaxation. Our software uses biofeedback in unique ways by taking data from biofeedback devices and using that to optimize the neural stimulation our programs deliver. This can greatly increase the effectiveness of the programs, and helps create brainwave protocols specifically designed for your physiology.

Like the LED light frames mentioned above, biofeedback units are not required for the use of our software. They are simply an extremely useful accessory.

For most people, we recommend one of the following biofeedback units:

- ThoughtStream

- Relaxing Rhythms (IOM Biofeedback System)
