Connectivity Issue with Mind Stereo

I'm a registered user of both NP3 and Mind Stereo. The machine I'm running on sits behind a firewall and uses a Proxy to access the internet. Mind Stereo seems to have no idea how to access the internet... Even the "check for update" option fails... whereas, NP3 seems to be able to connect just fine. Is there any way to force MS' internet settings to recognize the proxy? I know it worked on this machine at one point... If I could manually enter proxy settings this would work...
